            2. (U) Operation DESERT SHIELD conducted by USCENTCOM on 02/05/91.

            PERFORMANCE.


            4. (U) TITLE: Plans and Policy: Red Cross Support at Forbes Field

            5. (u) OBSERVATION- Not a problem.

            6. (u) DISCUSSION: The Red Cross volunteer did a fine job of
            supporting our troops at Forbes. They were very dedicated and
            would show up at all hours, in all weather. The Forward OIC
            should plan on being as considerate of their efforts as possible
            by placing the passengers in the holding area, rather than
            keeping them on the buses. The most efficient processing is
            to support the mission and this should not be jeopardized +or
            the Red Cross, however, they should be considered when possible.

            7. (u) LESSON LEARNED: The Red Cross Support'can be a help
            instead of hinderance.


            e. (u) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Be aware of and consider the Red
            Cross Volunteers during future operations.
