           ARMY), ACTIVE COMPONENT, GUARD COMPONENT, RESERVE COMPONENT, C2
           (COMMAND AND CONTROL), EQUIPMENT, SUPPLY, UNFAVORABLE,
           AVAILABILITY, SHORTAGE, SUPPORTABILITY, MATERIEL, CRIT3 (IMPORTANT
           PROBLEM).


           4. (U) TITLE: LOGISTICS: Units Had Insufficient Lines of TA 50 in
           ASL

           5. (u) OBSERVATION. Planning was done with Re-forger mentality.
           Available TA-50 assets were inadequate.

           6. (LO DISCUSSION-. No provisions were made -For a catastrophic
           loss of equipment: L-g, three soldiers lost everything. These
           types of losses were not anticipated.

           7. (u) LESSON LEARNED- Units should have a 3-5% overstock of
           TA-50 in order to handle catastrophic losses of equipment due to
           +ire, theft, enemy action.

           e. (Lt) RECOMMENDED ACTION: That TA-50 ASL be increased +or the
           701st MSB during deployments to non-POMCUS envir onment.
