          4. (U) TITLE: Logistics: Maintaining Adequate Canteen Supplies
          During Deployment

          5. (Lt) OBSERVATION- Maintaining adequate refreshment supplies.

          6. (Lt) DISCUSSION: The original intent of Operation Canteen was
          to provide refreshment -For those soldiers deploying. The
          operation grew into servicing additional family members, DACG
          personnel, and various crew personnel that surfaced +or each POM
          activity. This cause prior planning to go array. Since one
          could only estimate the attendance at each POM Supplies 0-F
          refreshments were not always sufficient to hold the group +or
          what in some cases lasted up until twelve hours or more.

          7. (LO LESSON LEARNED: none


          S. (u) RECOMMENDED ACTION     That refreshments be programed for
          larger number of attendance   that  the number projected on the POM
          attendance. That an adequate procurement of Supplies Occur
          before each long week end scheduled with deployments.
