           4. (U) TITLE: PERSONNEL: Family Support Center Activation

           5. (?) OBSERVATION: Reserve family members are requesting a
           Volume of family support services. In many cases the families
           are not aware of active army services and the reserve
           relationship.

           6. (?) DISCUSSION: Although the active army has activated a
           Family Assistance Center (FAC), the state has not activated any
           Family Assistance Centers. Fort Riley will continue to provide
           "like" services for both active army and reserves. However, in
           addition to a "sole" Family Assistance Center the Reserves are
           unable to provide Family Support Group rosters for geographic
           sites throughout Kansas.

           7. (?) LESSON LEARNED: A system should be developed to activate
           Family Assistance Centers concurrently (Active Army and STARCS).

           S. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Develop a data base which
           identifies all Family members and Family Support Groups
           throughout the State coverage area.
