           2. (LJ) Operation DESERT SHIELD conducted by USCENTCOM on 02/22/'71.

           COMF,ONENT, RESERVE COMPONENT, MOBILIZATION, ACCOUNTABILITY,
           TNTEROPERABILITY, PLANNING.

           4. (U) TITLE, MOBILIZATION: In-Processing Unit Personnel

           5. (U) OBSERVATION: During inprocessing units did not provide
           rosters of personnel to enable a crosscheck to be implemented
           between actual records received and missing records.

           6. (U) DISCUSSION: F,ersonnel Processing Center's InDrocessing
           Section assumed task a+ inprocessing mobilized units (Reserves
           and Guard) +ram the Ist PSC in Nov ?O. Soldiers arrived with
           their records and were inprocessed.

             IU) LESSON L-E,)RNED,. Incoming units should provide
           Inprocessing a roster a+ assigned personnel. Inprocessing then
           has a crosscheck available to identify missing records and
           advise units a+ same.

           B. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Future mobilization planning include
           the re@Ltire(hent +or mobilizing unit to provide Inprocessing A
           roster a+ assigned personnel.
