          4. (U) TITLE: LOGISTICS: Augment Organic Cargo Capacity with
          Shipping Containers

          5. (LI) OBSERVATION:     There was no plan +or deter-mining
          requirements for additional cargo shipment capability.

             (u) DISCUSSION: Organic cargo capacity was inadeqLtatL- to
          transport all MTOE equipment and supplies. Shipment of ABL an
          tactical vehicles worsened the problem and invalidated vehicle
          load plans.

          7. (LI) LESSON LEARNED: Organic cargo capacity of Most units
          Must be augmented with shipping containers.

             (LI) RECOMMENDED ACTION. Include ASL/MPL, essential
          publications, unassigned,OCIE, TAT Ammo, MRES, t-xtra tentage,
          safes, etc, in cargo shipment requirements.   Determine reduced
          and unreduced configurations of organic vehicles, plus c.-i-hand
          CONEXES, and containers. Determine Supply sources. Have
          on-the-shel+ contracts for- additional container procurement.
