           2. (U) Operation DESERT SHIELD conducted by USCENTCOM an 12/C)3/90.

           3. (U) KEYWORDS: No keywords..

           4. (U) TITLE: COMMAND AND CONTROL: C2 OF Nandeployables at
           Installation


           5. (?) OBSERVATION: Command and control of non-deployable
           soldiers.


           6. (?) DISCUSSION.- Non-deployable soldiers inprocessed into
           HHC, USAG (gaining unit) and were told to be at formation.
           Most still had some olttprocessing to accomplish at their old
           units (losing units). When soldiers returned. losing unit cadre
           told them to just keep assisting their old units with deployment
           and to stay away from HHC, USAG. The soldiers were caught in
           the middle of two sets o!F instructions.


           7. (?) LESSON LEARNED: Make a complete break. No connection
           with old company.

           8, I?) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Once non-deployables are assigned to
           the non-deployable company, make it stand.
