MASK RETURN STATUS AS OF 26 NOV 90

I ~F M17A2 EXC~ANOES

- 1st ~B received SOOO M17A2 Masks from us during Aug 90.
All ~O0O have been returned and either sent to Pine Bluff for
rebuild or returned to stock after teatin~.

- ~th ~B received 13~477 M17A2 Maska from us during ~ep ~O.
COMMMARCORLOOBASES ALB 302016Z(s)   Aug 90 provided doc~~~nt
numbers and return instructions.    It also stressed the need
for timely return of exchanged maska and instructed 7th MEB
(still 7th MEB at that ti~~e)  to utili~. 02 priority 9flU.
CWO:3 IIartzell (ILSD) has continiously communicated with I MbF
O-3/XBC telepbonically and the return of masks has been
stressed on each occasion.    On 19 ~ov 90 (CO~wARCORLOOflASES
ALB 192010Z)   we sent a message to I MEF again stressing that
returns had not been received and requesting expeditious
return of size medium masks.    On 21 Nov 90 (CO I MEF 211642Z
Nov 90)  1 NEF sent a short message to 1st FSSO, we were info.
This message directed 1st FSSG to take our 19 ~ov message for
action.         ~        YtLLJeL ~~ ~MJ C70.

STATUS OF REBUILDS F SIZE ~DIUM

- 414 are expected back from Pine Bluff this week.

- 14!37 have been shipped to Pine Bluff for rebuild.
Estiznated date of return is mid December.

- Additional masks will be sent to Pine Bluff upon receipt of
I NEF returns.
