          5. (U) OBSERVATION: Unit Commander, Unit Clerk, and other key
          personnel should be available to assist in the in-processij-ig of
          their unit.


          6, ILI) DISCUSSION: Newly assigned soldiers to the units do not
          have the necessary assignment orders and documentation with them
          to be loaded into the pay system. Also, the unit clerk should
          be available to assist individual soldiers with their problems.
          For example, soldier is entitled to a bonus payment he has not
          received, he questions the payment during in-processing, the
          unit clerk would know if the documentation has been forwarded to
          the input station for payment or not. Problem solved
          I ediately.
          7MM(U) LESSON L5ARNED-. Newly assigned soldiers must receive
          unit command emphasis on their pay documentation.

          B. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Unit Commander, Ist Sergeant, Unit
          Clerk and other key personnel be in-processed first, and at
          least one of these key personnel be available to assist in
          problem areas.
