           2. (U) Operation DESERT SHIELD conducted by USCENTCOM on 02/o6/91.

           3. (U) KEYWORDS: RWO (REAL WORLD OPS), USA (US ARMY), ACTIVE
           COMPONENT, INFORMATION MANAGEMENT, EQUIPMENT, FAVORABLE,
           ACCOUNTABILITY, COORDINATION, PRIORITY, SURVIVABILITY, MATERIEL.

           4. (U) TITLE: LOGISTICS: BULK DRAW OF CDE AND CLASS VIII

           5. (U) OBSERVATION: ist ID (M) effectively accomplished bulk
           draw of installation managed CDE and Class VIII.

         .6. (U) DISCUSSION- Installation managed CDE included the
           ensemble (suit, helmet cover, gloves, SVOS) as well as skin
           decontamination kit. Installation managed Class VIII including
           NAAK and Pretreatment Tablet, PB.
               Draws +or lst ID (M) were scheduled by battalion in bulk.
               Three or more days prior to draw, 63/NBC verified unit
           requests (DA 3161) to ensure needs were being identified.
           Simultaneously 63/NBC issued memorandum authorization for bulk
           draw of NAAK and PS tablets in proper numbers from MEDDAC.

           7. (U) LESSON LEARNED: none

           e. (U) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Bulk draw of CDE and Class VIII
           occurred without difficulty.
