          4. @U) TITLE: COMMUNICATIONS: Deployment APO (Army Post 0-F-Fice
          Numbers


          5. (LI) 0-BSERVATION- Commanders and soldiers wanted to know
          early what APO they Would be assigned upon deployment.

          6. (LI) DISCUSSION: Various APOS were announced in the media,
          particularly CNN. In some case these were in error as units,
          were assigned/attached elsewhere. Mail was thus delayed.

          7. (u) LESSON LEARNEI), Advance information about APOs is not
          available. FORSCOM will provide correct APO once unit is
          stationed. Incorrect APOS Cause mail delays.

          S. (u) RECOMMENDED ACTION: Ignore/do not press for advance APO
          numbers. FORSCOM will assign/+orward APO numbers once unit is
          stationed.
