         PERSONNEL ISSUE NO. 7 Staffing of AE Assemblages
         (SGHR ITEMS NOs. 41, 89, 92, 97)

         DISCUSSION: AE manpower packages need evaluation (e.g., crew management,
         AECCs, orderly room, MASF enlargement, AELTs). Create standardized crew
         management UTC to cover both strategic and tactical crews. AECEs are not
         staffed to handle personnel related problems associated with large numbers of
         aircrew members. Problems encountered with pay, emergency leave, billeting,
         messing, and transportation. These problems degraded morale or assigned
         personnel.

         RECOMMENDATIONS: Create working group to evaluate the manpower packages for
         all AE UTCs. Develop an Aeromedical Squadron UTC to address personnel related
         problems at deployment locations.

         ACTIONS REQUIRED: Create working group to evaluate AE manpower UTCs.

         ACTIONS COMPLETED: AMC AE restructuring has addressed this issue. UTCs have
         been reviewed, changed, created, or deleted to meet he new planning
         environment.

         STATUS: Closed.
