File: aabat_02.txt7 Feb 9i Work continues on bedding down the patriot team. The Patriot s Brigade ~ | Commander, Col Jeff Gault, visited the site today and was impressed with progress he saw. We are facing a problem with the AIK funds available to us locally being depleted. Key shortfall that results is the construction of latrine and shower/shave units. [(b)(5)] forward. We had visit from Lt Col Mike Collier, CENTAF/HC-2, today. Hell be with us today and tomorrow. He briefed our chaplain office throughout the AOR when having trouble with morale in the chaplain office. We are fortunate here to have good staff of chaplains who are making a solid contribution to the mission here. 8 Feb 91 Navy agreed to let the Army Patriot folks have the latrine trailer minus the washer/dryers. [0(5)] provide these. This will satisfy the latrine requirement for the Patriot battery. We sent SC folks to Tiaf today to look at what it would take to get CNN into our location. 9 Feb 9l Installation of tanks for sewage at Patriot site delayed a day so concrete delivery could be arranged. Patriot site started meal services today. This will help to release pressure theyve caused on our mess hall. Rumors on a multitude of issues continue to be passed around with most involving a return home theme. Other big issue is when will the ground war start or will it start. Started to write some drafts for LOE s and plan to start drafts for awards soon we won t have to do when I return home. Put word out to branches to do some.
