   h. At this time there is not a critical shortage of GCE's
within the AOR. Further, present temperature ranges do not
warrant the CWU-77/P's reported thermal burden advantages
overriding all other factors.

2. Request you authorize release of the two attached messages
(attachments 3 and 4).

   a. The first message informs HQ TAC of our decision not to
field the coveralls until the specified operational concerns have
been addressed. It further requests HQ TAC to stop shipments of
CWU-77/P coveralls to the AOR.

   b. The second message directs the units to set the CWU-77/P
chemical defense coveralls aside should they receive them through
their supply system.
